Non-partisan research improving opportunities for youth civic engagement

Part of Tufts University's Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life, CIRCLE has over two decades of examining youth civic engagement in the United States.  Through conductive extensive research on youth participation, CIRCLE leverages those findings to start conversations and improve opportunities for all young people to acquire and use the skills and knowledge necessary to meaningfully participate in civic life.

CIRCLE’s research shapes policy and practice to drive substantive change and ultimately promote stronger youth development and a more inclusive society.  The research at CIRCLE has led the way for civic education reform by championing efforts for increased, comprehensive, and more equitable civic education throughout the country.

MEASURE OF SUCCESS

CIRCLE is sought-after today by journalists and opinion-leaders at all levels for their trusted source of data and analysis on youth voting. The expert point of view provided by CIRCLE’s researchers is a key resource for media and results in hundreds of media placements each election year. This thought leadership expertise has been instrumental in re-shaping the public conversation about youth political participation and civic engagement.
